"Andrew Klavan: Michele Bachmann Makes a Gaffe!!!"

PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES…

I am so sick and tired of the open bias and hostility of the Liberal media and their eager willingness to act as attack dogs for the political Left.

Michele Bachman is human, human’s misspeak, more so when they are called upon to talk often. Therefore, it is not only completely irresponsible of the lamestream media to go after Conservatives like Bachman on such trivial matters (never addressing the substance of their position), but also glaringly hypocritical, as they cover up Leftwing politician’s equally innocuous mistakes; including the human flub-machine, Joe Biden.

This video does a good job of poking fun at the irrational attacks on Rep. Michele Bachman (R-MN), candidate for President.

SHAMEFUL: "The Missing US Ambassador at the feast for Ronald Reagan"

President Obama and his appointees have set new standards of classlessness since 2008, letting their partisanship and anti-American feelings overrule protocol and common sense; but this is simply a boneheaded play.

Of course, what do you expect from an ambassador whose nickname is “The Vacume”? (At least they got that right, because this tool certainly sucks!)

Maybe someone should remind the Obama Administration that U.S. Ambassador’s work for our Nation, not for “The Chosen One” and the fundraising arm of the DNC.

LIMITED GOVERNMENT IN MINNESOTA: DAY ONE

For those of you not in the know, the State of Minnesota partially closed down at midnight this morning after our Democratic Governor, Mark Dayton, refused to sign the budget passed by the Legislature, refused a temporary spending extension, and instead chose to “shutdown” the government in the noble pursuit (in his twisted Leftist mind) of raising taxes during these hard economic times.

Wha?

There are many politicians that are completely worthless, but Governor Dayton has now staked his claim to being the most incompetent elected Minnesota official in the history of our fine state; and that’s saying something.

A wealthy political gadfly, Dayton has been cluttering political elections since he was first elected Minnesota State Auditor back in 1990; though he is best known for his incredibly incompetent one term as a U.S. Senator; a term so bad that TIME MAGAZINE labeled him “The Blunderer”, and named him as one of the five worst serving Senators at that time.

As the people of Minnesota head into this Fourth of July holiday weekend, and you begin to be bombarded by stories about closed state parks and ruined family vacations, scared by stories about helpless women, children, elderly and the disabled, and frightened with threats of layoffs of police, fire and other emergency responders, it is worth reflecting on the opportunity Governor Dayton has actually presented us with.

Think about it (I mean it…REALLY think about it), our state government has been partially closed down and only “essential services” will be left in place during this shutdown.

Let me repeat that, and let the words truly sink in, “our state government has been partially closed down and only “essential services” will be left in place during this shutdown.”

Does the same question spring to your mind that springs to mine?

WHY THE HELL DOES THE STATE GOVERNMENT HAVE ANY NON-ESSENTIAL SERVICES, HMMM?!?

As you celebrate this Fourth of July, I urge you to seriously ponder what our State (and Federal) Government’s Constitutional roles are, as well as just how far they have seized up powers above and beyond those they have been granted.

Maybe having only essential services will turn out to be a good thing, if it teaches citizens that “The Government” was never meant to be all things to all people.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” ~ George Washington

A government of laws, and not of men.” ~ John Adams

A wise and frugal Government, which shall retrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.” ~Thomas Jefferson

In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.” ~James Madison

Where liberty is, there is my country.” ~ Ben Franklin

"The Difference Between Liberal and Conservative"

Dr. Thomas Sowell is one of the wisest and most observant people on the planet; and a personal touchstone for me on any issue.

I thought that I would let this video interview with him layout some of the differences in worldviews between Conservatives and Liberals; if for no other reason, than it may help readers with understanding future posts by me (plus I just enjoy listening to, and reading, Dr. Sowell any chance that I can get).

NOTE: I would sincerely enjoy hearing your views on what you believe are the true differences between Conservatives and Liberals; as well as what other (if any) political philosophies enter into the mix.

Thanks!

"Liberal" Hate (and the usual media cover-up)

Wait! I thought that “Liberals” were supposedly the loving, inclusive, enlightened members of our society.

Do you mean that many of them are simply hateful, dishonest, petty louts?

I’m shocked…SHOCKED!

The incident exposed in this article from the Blaze.com is just one in a long line of events in Glenn Beck's recent career where he has been subject to harassment; and even more sickeningly, he has been attacked and called a liar when reporting on what happened.

You may not like Glenn Beck (my guess though is, that if you don’t, you have never truly watched or listened to him for any extended period of time), that said, I don’t care who you are, NO ONE should be subject to having his family and himself abused by uncivilized troglodytesEVER; let alone then be forced to have his honesty and character attacked afterward by the lamestream media outlets and Leftist bloggers for being the victim of this kind of harassment.

UPDATE: This is just one example of the hateful, malicious, and UNTRUE smear attacks Mr. Beck has been dealing with for years. Media Matters is a Left-wing, faux media monitoring organization supported by the odious George Soros.

Glenn Beck’s Point of No Return" is the biggest load of horse excrement I have read in a very long time (and I read the NYT online).

UPDATE: Ann Coulter is too shrill and caustic for my taste usually, but this incident has me feeling so irate, I am posting her column on this incident here to allow her to give full vent to what I am feeling today: Glenn Beck Vs. The Mob

A Quick Video

This is a video I made and posted awhile back on my old YouTube channel.

I have created a new channel to tie in with this blog and my Twitter account, so I have reposted it there as well.

Enjoy! ;-)
